Ambassade Quartet Vienna

The musicians of the Ambassade Quartet Vienna are all members of the Ambassade Orchestra Vienna. The orchestra was founded during the Johann Strauss Anniversary year 1999 by Michael Buchmann, Alexander Kaspar and members of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. They had the idea to emphasize the entertaining element of classical music in an informal, but highly professional style. After a highly successful tour through south America, the orchestra worked with world famous stars like Jose Carreras, whom the musicians accompanied on several tours, Sarah Brightman, as well as the Japanese Rock Band Quruli or the famous Austrian Singer Wolfgang Ambros.

The manifold repertoire of the Ambassade Quartet Vienna is suited for cocktail receptions, dinner events and various kinds of other events as background music as well as as show act. The musicians are very happy to adjust the programme acording to the guest’s wishes. The repertoire reaches from string quartets and divertimenti of the Viennese Classic (J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart and many more) to famous melodies of Schubert, Brahms including the Viennese music of Johann Strauß and his contemporaries, as well as tangos and ragtimes.
